Diana

I just tweeted about this (because I LOVED IT) but got your tweet name wrong. *sigh*

Karen Smith

Aww thanks, Diana. It's Karentsmith for future ref. ;) I don't use twitter directly much, but I push my blogs through my twitter feed. I might get back into it again, it just ends up being overwhelming to my orderly-must-read-in-chronological-order mind. ;) But meanwhile, I'm so glad you loved it. One of those posts that wrote itself, I'm sure you know what I mean. :) I love me my babies, and feel like I have to capture these moments even more so now as they get older and their babyness is so fleeting...

Wow. This post touched my heart and left me crying (damn hormones!) You inspire me to be a better mom, as well as a better writer. Well done Karen!

Jen

Found this linked on Twitter and couldn't agree more with every.single.word! My babies are now 9, 7, and 4 and I cherish those nighttime snuggled and talks. They are priceless. Thank you for sharing.

Loved the blog- I just finished checking in on my sleeping kids. I also did just have a heart to heart with my eldest about the importance of being herself. Glad to know I am not the only one whose brain needs time to turn off. Thank you.

Thanks Jen, annemarie and Tara! I'm glad you liked the post. I also check on them again before I go to sleep. If I find myself in bed having not checked on them, I get out of bed. It's just what you do. (Turns out my husband does the same, and also checks on them first thing in the morning before he leaves at o'dark thirty.)
